About this drink
The recipe appears in Harry McElhone's Barflies and Cocktails of 1927, credited to Erskine Gwynne, an American in Paris who edited a magazine called The Boulevardier. Swap the gin of a Negroni for whiskey and the bitterness lands on something rounder.
