Shake the gin, maraschino, orange bitters and lemon juice with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
About this drink
The recipe is in the 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book and sits in the same family as the Aviation: gin with maraschino and lemon, but orange bitters in place of crème de violette. Without the violette there is no purple, and the drink reads drier.
