Method
Fill a tall glass with ice, add the vodka, then the cranberry and grapefruit juices. Stir briefly and perch a lime wedge on the rim.
About this drink
One of the vodka-and-juice highballs that spread through American bars in the 1980s, alongside the Cape Codder and the Bay Breeze. Cranberry gives it sweetness and colour; grapefruit supplies the dry, faintly bitter edge that holds the finish together.
