About this drink

The name comes from Daiquirí, a mining area near Santiago de Cuba, and the recipe is usually credited to Jennings Cox, an American engineer working there in the 1890s. Rum, lime and sugar in balance hide nothing, which is why many bartenders treat it as the measure of a bar.
