Method

Shake equal parts cacao blanc liqueur, crème de menthe and cream hard with ice, strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with mint.

About this drink

The story goes that it was created at an old French Quarter bar in New Orleans, for a cocktail competition in New York around 1918, and named for its grasshopper green. Equal parts mint, cacao and cream is the textbook after-dinner proportion.
