About this drink
From Jalisco in western Mexico, where tequila is drunk beside sangrita — citrus, chilli and salt, with tomato in the version most bars pour today. Pour the two into one glass and you have the Vampiro, named for its blood-red colour. It is traditionally made with a noticeable heat.
